Tasha Elena Stevens

Tasha Elena Stevens works are physical productions of the emotional and spiritual conclusions she reaches through her experiences as a half Nicaraguan and half English person living on the fringe of mainstream society. Her insights into indigenous culture, eco -nomadism and anarchistic living have lead her to respond using a range of artistic forms of expression including performance, sculpture, participatory public art and writing.

For the past nine months, after time spent in South and Central America working with several tribal groups Tasha has lived at Tinkers Bubble Fossil fuel free community where they cook using wood, live in make shift dwellings constructed from the local natural materials and produce or forage as much of their own food as possible.
